Devil Dobie – Fursuit Terms of Service

By commissioning me, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the following Terms of Service. These terms are in place to protect both the client and the maker throughout the commission process.


General Terms

• By commissioning me, you agree to these terms in full. The version of the ToS in effect at the time of your order is the one that applies to your commission.• I reserve the right to update, add, or remove any section of these terms at any time for any reason.• I reserve the right to refuse a commission at my discretion.• I do not accept commissions for characters that are copyrighted or owned by another individual or company without written permission. Fan characters must be original and not direct copies.• I do not work in a pet-free environment. If you have severe allergies to dogs or cats, please understand that commissioning me may pose a health risk.• Each suit is handmade using a combination of machine and hand-sewing. Minor imperfections may occur due to the nature of handmade work, but I will always strive to meet the highest standards and client expectations.• All clients must be 18 years of age or older. Age verification is required through a valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or school ID). Commissions from anyone unable or unwilling to verify age will be canceled.


Communication

• Once work has begun, I will provide work-in-progress (WIP) updates at key stages (e.g., patterning, head sculpting).• Delays in response may result in project delays.• If there is a delay on my end, I will inform you as soon as possible.• Messages will typically be responded to within 48 hours.• All communication will take place through the agreed-upon platform (e.g., email, Trello, Twitter DM).


Payment

• Payment is accepted in USD via Square, Cash App, or Zelle.• You may pay either in full upfront or in two parts: a 30% non-refundable deposit, with the remaining balance due within 3 months.• No work will begin until the full payment has been received.• The 30% deposit secures your materials and spot in queue and is non-refundable under all circumstances.• The deposit must be paid within 72 hours of receiving your invoice, or your slot will be forfeited.• Chargebacks are strictly prohibited and will be contested with all available documentation. Clients initiating chargebacks will be blacklisted from future commissions.


Creation Process

• A reference sheet is required before any work begins. The sheet must be clear, digital, unshaded, and include multiple angles (front, back, side, etc.).• Please allow 3–6 months for completion once your commission enters active production.• I do not accept hard deadlines or rush orders. This ensures I can work at a steady pace to maintain quality.• All measurements provided are taken at face value. I am not responsible for issues caused by incorrect measurements.• Full-body commissions require a duct tape dummy (DTD). You are responsible for creating and shipping a clean, usable DTD. Poorly made or damaged DTDs will need to be remade and reshipped at your expense.


Shipping

• Shipping costs are billed separately after your suit is completed.• Clients are responsible for all shipping charges, including customs fees or import taxes.• Default shipping is via FedEx, though USPS or UPS are available upon request.• I will declare the full value of your suit and purchase shipping insurance. This is non-negotiable.• I am not liable for lost or damaged packages. Insurance coverage is recommended and must be paid for by the client.• Tracking will always be provided.


Warranty & Repairs

• Each suit includes a 60-day warranty beginning the day it is delivered. This covers popped seams, holes, or missing pieces caused by construction error.• This warranty does not cover damage due to fire, mold, neglect, improper care, or wear and tear.• Clients must wash the suit before returning it for repairs. If it arrives noticeably dirty or smelly, a $75 cleaning fee will be applied.• Clients are responsible for all shipping costs for warranty or repair work.• Repairs after the 60-day period will be available at a cost based on labor and materials.• I’m happy to guide clients through small repairs or cleaning care virtually.• If we are attending the same convention, I may offer minor at-con repairs.Disclaimer: I am not responsible for injury while wearing one of my fursuits. They can restrict vision and increase body temperature. Please stay hydrated, take breaks, and fursuit responsibly.


Cancellation & Refund Policy

• I reserve the right to cancel and refund any commission for any reason.• You may also cancel your commission at any time.• The 30% deposit is non-refundable. If fur or other materials have been purchased, up to 50% of your payment may become non-refundable.• If you cancel during production, your refund (if any) will be based on how much work has been completed.• I retain the right to repurpose, modify, or resell unfinished or canceled projects as I see fit.• Once your commission is completed, no refunds will be issued.


Code of Conduct

• Clients who harass, spam, or act inappropriately will be blacklisted from future commissions without refund.• I reserve the right to post WIP and final photos of suits on social media unless the client requests privacy in advance.• Altering the suit after receiving it voids any warranty or repair eligibility.
